So, where is the Best Place to Travel in October?
New York City, USA
One of the world’s top October destinations is New York City.
Nothing beats breathing the fresh, cold air while strolling in Central Park.
In New York, fall is when all the trees turn brilliant hues, and everyone is in a good mood. It’s the home of pumpkin spice lattes and street art! Seriously, every world visitor should experience it at least once.
Mid-September through late October is the peak fall season, and October is possibly the best month to visit New York City.

Prague, Czech Republic
In the past few years, Prague has become one of the most popular cities to visit in Europe.
Its beautiful architecture, long history, and many riverside parks, beer gardens, nightclubs, and art galleries make it a popular place to visit.
The city’s beautiful downtown hides a dark history and a strong past, as, over the past 1,100 years, the city has survived many coups, invasions, fires, and floods.
Its old churches, narrow streets, hilltop castle, and statue-lined bridges make it look like a scene from a fairy tale.
In October, the city is beautiful with its red-roofed buildings and golden spires, and the scent of freshly baked pastries from the many cafes and bakeries fills the air.

Amman, Jordan
Amman, one of the world’s most underestimated tourist destinations, is the ideal starting point for seeing Jordan’s various sites, including Petra, Wadi Rum, and the Jordan Trail.
The city has fantastic food, people, and affordable accommodation rates.
October is less expensive, and the heat is less intense than summer.

Mykonos, Greece
If you want to avoid the change of the seasons and wish to keep the pleasant weather as long as possible, then the Greek Islands may be the place to go in October.
Summer visitors to Mykonos in July and August are long gone by October. Instead of high rates and crowds, you’ll find nice beach weather, lesser pricing, and a much calmer vibe.
Traveling to Greece in October is fantastic since the weather is calm and the water is still warm enough for swimming.
But, if you decide to go, you better go in October as, by November, most islands have turned into ghost towns, with many businesses closing for the season.

Cancun, Mexico
Cancun, one of the most popular spring break destinations, is also a terrific spot to visit in October.
Hotel rates are lower, and the Mexican heat isn’t as fierce, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful white sand beaches even more.
But you don’t have to be a beach person to visit Cancun; the city is close to a few cultural and exciting activities like the interactive aquarium and the ruins of Tulum, and the ancient Mayan city, Chichen Itza.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Rio de Janeiro is one of the most exciting locations in the world, which is why rates in the winter, when Christmas and Carnaval take over the party-loving city, tend to be sky high.
On the other hand, a trip in October guarantees exceptional hotel rates, better ticket deals, and much fewer visitors at Rio’s main attractions.
The weather is still pleasant; however, there may be a few scattered showers as the wet season approaches.

Goa, India
In October, the monsoon rains have stopped, and the resort isn’t as busy as it is during the height of summer, so it’s an excellent time to visit Goa, India.
The weather is nice, and there are nine hours of sunshine daily.
With an average sea temperature of 30°C, it’s a great time to go to the beach.

Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
October is, without a doubt, fall in Canada. It’s a terrific time to get outside, visit natural areas, and marvel at the spectacular fall foliage that some parts of the country have.
If that’s your thing, October is a terrific time to visit Canada; the fall colors make it a popular spot.
The crunch of the leaves, the crisp weather, the pumpkin spice, and the many activities available in and around British Columbia’s capital consolidate a formidable place to visit in October.

Bogota, Colombia
Bogota is a lively city with great food and local wines. It is one of the best places to visit in Colombia.
October is a perfect month to go to Colombia because most summer tourists are gone, and it doesn’t rain as much.
Because it’s the “shoulder season,” you might also be able to find reasonable flight rates.

Cairo, Egypt
Egypt is unquestionably a significant tourist destination.
Cairo is possibly the most fantastic spot to visit, as it is home to some of the world’s most important archeological attractions.
The Pyramids of Giza, the Grand Egyptian Museum, and the Great Sphinx are all in Cairo.
October is ideal for a trip because the scorching summer weather has passed, but the temperature is still lovely.
Hotel rates do not rise until the Christmas holiday season, and you will be able to discover a wide variety of delicious meals at many highly coveted restaurants.

Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico
From September to January, the weather in Puerto Escondido is almost ideal.
It rains mostly at night and not every day during the summer and fall.
The rain gets less and less from October to November until it stops altogether. Temperatures range from the low to mid-80s F during the day to the low 60s F at night.
Most days are sunny and great for going for walks and to the beach.
Puerto Escondido is an authentic Mexican vacation spot that is truly unique and fun.

Split, Croatia
Even at this time of year, Dubrovnik is overcrowded with tourists, so a better alternative is Split. This must-see off-the-beaten-path city will provide you with a more authentic Croatian experience.
Split, located on the Dalmatian coast, is the country’s second-largest city, a location full of modernity and old Roman remains for travelers to discover.
The pleasant weather and absence of tourists will make you appreciate the city’s beauty and history even more, plus it is significantly less expensive than Croatia’s other major cities.

If you like trekking, don’t miss the opportunity to go on the 1.2-mile Rough Ridge stretch on the Tanawha Trail off the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway.
However, if trekking is not your thing, you can also see beautiful views from a hot air balloon.

Rome, Italy
October is the most incredible time of year to visit Rome.
Popular attractions have fewer visitors, and the dusk light is stunning. The temperature has cooled down yet remains nice.
Rome may be one of the most popular cities on the planet, but if you venture off the beaten route, you’ll discover some great hidden gems that most visitors miss.
I recommend staying in Rome for at least three days to cover all the best activities without feeling rushed.
